Your choice of course should be based upon subjects you prefer, are good at and will meet your career goals. You will need to consider the suitability of the combination; some courses combine naturally, giving mutual support and enhancing prospects of further study.

 

G.C.E. A Level Qualifications
Advanced Subsidiary (AS)
A one-year study course offered in:
English Literature, Philosophy (to be taken in conjunction with Religious Education,Art, Biology, Chemistry, Business, Combined English (Language and Literature), Design Technology, Further Mathematics, French, Food Studies, General Studies, Geography, German, History, Mathematics, Music Technology, Physical Education, Psychology, Sociology, Physics, Religious Studies, Theatre Studies.
Advanced (A2)
A further one-year of study offered in the above subjects.
V.C.E. A Level Qualifications (formerly Advanced GNVQs) or Applied GCE
Single Award Advanced (AVCE) (A2) pr Applied GCE (Worth 1 'A' Level)
A one or two-year course (Six Units) offered in:
Travel and Tourism, Imformation Communication Technology, Art & Design.
Double Award Advanced or Applied GCE (Worth 2 'A' Levels)
A two-year course (Twelve Units) offered in:
Travel and Tourism, Information Communication Technology, Art & Design.
General National Vocational Qualification (GNVQ) Intermediate
A one-year course offered in:
Health and Social Care, Leisure and Tourism, Hospitality & Catering, Art and Design, Information Communication Technology.
BTEC First Certificate & National Diploma
A one-year or two year course offered in Sports Studies (Applied Science).
National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Levels 1 & 2
A one-year course offered in:
Business Administration, Retailing Operations.
OCR Single Subjects Stage 1 - Stage 3 and Extension Courses
From one to two years, offered in:
Certificate in Secretarial and Administration Procedures
Diploma in Secretarial and Administrative Procedures
GCSE (resits)
English and Mathematics
Complementary Studies - The Enrichment Curriculum
This is offered to all Sixth Form students and includes Key Skills, a Personal and Social Education programme, Young Enterprise, the Rotary Club challenge, Sports Leaders Award, Conversation Spanish and work experience. Additionally, we offer a wide variety of activities which will enable you to achieve Key Skills in communication, application of number, information communication technology, problem solving, working with others and improving own learning.
