The courses we offer:

Key Stage 3 (Years 7,8 and 9)
All classes follow the QCA National Numeracy Strategy, for details of this see
http://www.standards.dfes.gov.uk/keystage3/subjects/maths/
All classes use the Collins Frameworking texts as a core resource –
this are directly linked to the Numeracy Strategy.

Key Stage 4 (Years 10 an 11)
Pupils follow the AQA Mathematics B (Modular) syllabus. Currently pupils are entered at one of three levels :
Foundation, Intermediate or Higher. http://www.aqa.org.uk/qual/gcse/math_b.html
Examples of past examination papers with solutions can be down loaded from the AQA website.
From September 2006, there will be only two levels of entry available; Foundation and Higher,
thus allowing all pupils potential access to a C grade pass.

Key Stage 5 (Years 12 and 13)
AS and A2 students follow the OCR Mathematics syllabus http://www.ocr.org.uk/OCR/WebSite/docroot/qualifications/qualificationhome/
showQualification.do?qual_oid=14896&site=OCR&oid=14896&server=PRODUKTION

Students study for three modules C1, C2 and S1 in Y12 to achieve an AS, then if successful can continue
into Y13 to study C3, C4 and D1 to achieve an A2 in Mathematics.
